Program
10:00 –10:05 – Úvod a přivítání/Opening and Welcome
10:05 - 10:35 Giving space to one’s own voice, Melina Bernardi (music therapist in psychiatric facility, Modena)
This session invites participants to explore how music and voice can become tools for personal growth and self-understanding. Beyond relaxation or play, music therapy opens a deeper space where sound becomes a bridge to one’s emotions, body, and inner world. By giving space to your own voice – both literally and metaphorically – you can encounter aspects of yourself that are often hidden in everyday communication. Through reflection and shared experience, the session aims to show how musical expression supports authenticity, connection, and emotional balance. The lecture offers a gentle insight into the therapeutic background of music therapy, encouraging participants to listen – not only to sound, but to what resonates within.
10:35 –11:05 – When Art Speaks through Touch, Loretta Secchi, Simone Mattioli (Il Museo Tattile Anteros Bologna, Bologna)
The Anteros Tactile Museum presents a collection of three-dimensional low-relief translations of famous paintings from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era, with a particular focus on Renaissance art. Its free educational program, open to all citizens, promotes school and social inclusion for people with visual impairments. The museum’s approach is based on the psychology of optical and tactile perception, combined with typhlology, art theory, and special pedagogy. Its main goal is to foster the integrated use of residual senses in individuals with visual disabilities, enhancing their perceptual, cognitive, and intellectual abilities, while also cultivating aesthetic awareness and sensitivity among sighted visitors.
11:05 –11:35 – About clowns and death - theatre work with people with disabilities, Fabian Riemen (University of Würzburg/ Head of the Cultural Department of the City of Hof)
People with disabilities have been making theatre for several decades. The results used to be dismissed as school theatre, but in recent years the productions have increasingly come into professional focus. The lecture will explore the question of what potential theatre by people with disabilities has to achieve participatory societies. Different staging strategies are examined.
11:35–12:00 – Diskuze a závěr/Discussion and Closing
